What determines the value of a CS2 inventory?
Six factors drive the price of every Counter-Strike 2 skin. Understanding them is the difference between guessing and knowing what your inventory is actually worth.
Skin Rarity and Grade
CS2 skins are categorized into rarity tiers that significantly impact their value. Consumer Grade (white) items are the most common and least valuable, while Covert (red) items are rare and highly sought after. Knives, gloves, and Contraband items like the M4A4 Howl represent the pinnacle of rarity and command premium prices. The drop rate for each tier directly influences market supply and, consequently, pricing.
Float Value and Wear Condition
Every CS2 skin has a float value between 0 and 1 that determines its visual wear condition. Lower float values mean cleaner, less worn appearances. Factory New (0.00-0.07) skins command the highest prices, followed by Minimal Wear (0.07-0.15), Field-Tested (0.15-0.38), Well-Worn (0.38-0.45), and Battle-Scarred (0.45-1.00). Exceptionally low floats within each category can multiply a skin's value significantly - a 0.001 float Factory New skin may be worth many times more than a 0.06 float version of the same skin.
Special Patterns
Certain skins have pattern variations that create drastically different appearances and values. Case Hardened skins with high blue percentage ('blue gems') are worth exponentially more than standard patterns. Fade skins are valued based on their fade percentage, with full fades being most desirable. Doppler knives have distinct phases (Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl, and Phases 1-4), each with different market values. Marble Fade 'Fire and Ice' patterns and Crimson Web skins with centered webs also command significant premiums.
Applied Stickers
Stickers applied to weapon skins can dramatically increase their value, especially rare tournament stickers, Katowice 2014 holos, and Crown Foils. The sticker's value contribution depends on its rarity, placement position (best positions vary by weapon), and how well it complements the skin's design. Generally, applied stickers add 5-50% of their standalone value to the weapon, though exceptional combinations can command even higher premiums.
StatTrak and Souvenir Status
StatTrak weapons track your kills and are generally worth 2-4 times more than their regular counterparts for popular skins. Souvenir skins, dropped during major tournaments, feature special gold stickers and are often extremely rare. Souvenir AWP Dragon Lores and similar high-tier souvenirs are among the most valuable items in the game. The combination of StatTrak availability and Souvenir rarity creates distinct price tiers within each skin type.
Market Trends and Demand
CS2 skin prices fluctuate based on player demand, game updates, professional tournament activity, and broader market conditions. Major operations and case releases can shift attention to new skins, while nostalgia and rarity drive up prices for discontinued items. Seasonal trends also affect prices - major sales events often see temporary price increases as more players enter the market.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a CS2 Inventory Value Calculator?
A CS2 Inventory Value Calculator is a tool designed to estimate the total monetary value of your Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) inventory based on current market prices. It analyzes all tradable items in your inventory including weapon skins, knives, gloves, stickers, cases, and other collectibles, then calculates their combined worth using real-time pricing data from Steam Market.
Are the prices in the CS2 Inventory Value Calculator accurate?
The prices provided by our CS2 Inventory Value Calculator are based on real-time data from Steam Market, updated every 24 hours. While they give an excellent estimate of current market value, actual prices may vary slightly at the time of sale due to market fluctuations, item-specific factors like float value and stickers, and the platform you choose to sell on. For high-value items, we recommend checking recent sales history for the most accurate current pricing.
What items does the CS2 Inventory Value Calculator include?
The calculator includes all tradable items in your CS2 inventory that have a market value. This encompasses weapon skins, knife skins, glove skins, agent skins, stickers, music kits, graffiti, cases, capsules, keys, patches, pins, and other in-game items that can be bought or sold on the Steam Community Market. Non-tradable items like default weapons or untradable promotional items are excluded from the valuation.
Is the CS2 Inventory Value Calculator free to use?
Yes, our CS2 Inventory Value Calculator is completely free to use with no limitations. There are no hidden fees, premium tiers, or subscription requirements. Simply enter a Steam profile URL or SteamID to get an instant valuation of any public CS2 inventory. We believe everyone should have access to accurate inventory pricing information.
How often are the CS2 skin prices updated?
Our pricing database is updated every 24 hours to ensure you receive accurate and current market valuations. This update frequency provides a good balance between accuracy and price stability, as real-time prices can fluctuate significantly throughout the day. For time-sensitive transactions involving high-value items, we recommend also checking current listings on Steam Market.
What is the average CS2 inventory value in 2026?
Based on our data analysis, the average casual CS2 player has an inventory worth approximately $50-150 on Steam Market. Regular traders and collectors typically have inventories valued between $500-5,000. Serious collectors often exceed $10,000, and the most valuable known inventories contain items worth over $1 million combined, including rare blue gem knives, Dragon Lores, and complete collections of Katowice 2014 stickers.
What are the most valuable CS2 inventories worth?
The most valuable CS2 inventories are worth millions of dollars. These collections typically include ultra-rare items such as #1 pattern Blue Gem AK-47 Case Hardened skins (valued at $400,000+), Souvenir AWP Dragon Lores ($150,000+), rare Karambit and M9 Bayonet sapphires and rubies, and weapons covered in Katowice 2014 Titan and iBUYPOWER Holo stickers. Some complete collections of rare stickers alone are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
What is the maximum inventory size in CS2?
CS2 inventories have a maximum capacity of 2,400 items including both CS2 items and Steam items. This limit includes all tradable and non-tradable items. When approaching this limit, players typically sell or trade lower-value items to make room for new acquisitions. Our calculator can process inventories up to this maximum size, though very large inventories may take a few additional seconds to fully analyze.
Can I check a private Steam inventory?
No, our calculator can only access and value public Steam inventories. If an inventory is set to private or friends-only, Steam's privacy settings prevent external tools from retrieving item data. To check your inventory value, ensure your Steam privacy settings have 'My profile' and 'Game details' set to 'Public'. You can change this in Steam > Settings > Privacy. After making your inventory public, try the calculator again.
Can I check my friend's CS2 inventory value?
Yes, you can check any player's CS2 inventory value as long as their Steam profile and inventory are set to public. Simply enter their Steam profile URL, SteamID64, or vanity URL into our calculator. This feature is useful for evaluating potential trades, checking the inventory of players you're considering trading with, or simply exploring impressive collections shared by the community.

About CS2-Inventory.com
CS2-Inventory.com is an independent calculator for Counter-Strike 2 inventories. We built it because every other tool either asked for a Steam login or hid simple price breakdowns behind paid tiers.
How it started
The site launched in 2024 as a one-page tool that valued a Steam inventory using public Steam Market prices. Since then we've added Buff163 reference pricing, sticker breakdowns, float detection, pattern indexing for Doppler/Fade/Case Hardened, and translations into 18 languages. Today the site processes thousands of inventory checks a month for casual players, traders, and professional collectors.
How we calculate values
Every item in your inventory is matched against its Steam Community Market hash and priced using Steam's published 7-day median sale price, refreshed every 24 hours. Where Buff163 data is available we surface it as a secondary reference. We do not invent prices, we do not extrapolate, and we do not include items that have no recent sale history. For high-value items we recommend cross-checking with the live Steam Market listing before any trade.
Tech stack
Built with Next.js 15 (App Router) and React 19, deployed on Scaleway. The pricing pipeline pulls Steam Market data on a 24-hour schedule and serves results from a global cache so even large inventories return in under two seconds. Source code is closed but the API contract for inventory lookups is documented for legitimate scrapers.
