CSGO and CS2 share one inventory: when Counter-Strike 2 launched in September 2023, every Counter-Strike: Global Offensive item rolled over with the same market_hash_name, the same float, and the same Steam Market history. This calculator values the legacy CSGO collection exactly the same way it values a fresh CS2 inventory.
Why old CSGO skins still have value
The transition kept every CSGO drop in circulation, including discontinued ones. Items from removed cases (CS:GO Weapon Case, eSports 2013, Operation Bravo, Vanguard) keep climbing because supply was frozen the day Valve retired them. Items that gained the most after the CS2 update

How CSGO float values translate to CS2
Float values transferred 1:1. A 0.001 float Factory New AK-47 Vulcan from CSGO is the same item with the same float in CS2. The wear category (FN, MW, FT, WW, BS) is calculated from the float and is identical across both games.
